Yagoto-san Kousho-ji Temple
八事山 興正寺 · Buddhist temple
The temple's own English pages record that it is a Shingon sect temple built in 1688 by the priest Tenzui Ensho, and that it became a place of worship for the Owari Tokugawa family. Nagoya Convention & Visitors Bureau records that the five-story wooden pagoda, built in 1808, is designated an Important Cultural Property.
The temple states that the public area of the grounds is free, and that the Fumon Garden is entered separately, opening later and closing earlier than the grounds.
