Choshoji Temple
太平山 長勝寺 · Buddhist temple
The Hirosaki Tourism and Convention Bureau records that Choshoji was founded in 1528 and moved to its present site in 1610, at the same time as the building of Hirosaki Castle. Aomori Prefecture's own guide describes the main gate standing at the far end of the temple street.
The temple stands at the end of Zenringai, the temple quarter laid out south-west of Hirosaki Castle. The bureau states that the temple kitchen and the Buddhist Statue Hall are the parts open to visitors, and that there is no admission fee.

- From JR Hirosaki Station, take the Konan Bus (Imoridaira, Tashiro, Oaki or Soma line) for about 15 minutes, get off at Moimori-cho — 10 minutes on foot
