Saishoin Temple
金剛山 最勝院 · Buddhist temple
The temple's own English pages give its full name as Shingonshu Chisanha Kongozan Saishoin. The Hirosaki Tourism and Convention Bureau records that its five-storied pagoda was built in 1666 to remember those who died in the unification of the Tsugaru region, and that it is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.
The bureau records that the pagoda is one of twenty-two five-storied pagodas surviving from the Edo period, and that its central pillar is a single piece of timber. Aomori Prefecture's own guide lists the temple among the spiritual sites of the Tsugaru area.

- From JR Hirosaki Station, take the Konan Bus bound for Shin Teramachi and get off at the Hirosaki High School stop — 3 minutes on foot
