Hida Kokubunji Temple
醫王山 飛騨国分寺 · Buddhist temple
The City of Takayama records that a ginkgo tree over 1,200 years old and a three-storied pagoda stand in the precincts, and that the bell tower gate is said to have been moved from Takayama Castle. It records that the main temple building is the oldest structure in the city, built in the Muromachi era.
The temple gives its full name as Ioz an Hida Kokubunji. Gifu Prefecture's tourism federation gives the hours and the charge for entering the main hall, and the two days a year on which it is closed.
