Choraku-ji Temple

Ota City's English page records that the temple was established in 1221 as the first Zen temple in the Kanto region, and that priests from all over the country came to study there.
It also records Hasu-ike Pond, created in the shape of the Chinese character for heart, and the Imperial Messenger Gate, known as the gate that never opens.
