Kagoshima Shrine

Kagoshima Prefecture's official travel guide records that Kagoshima Shrine is a historic shrine dedicated to a god connected to the imperial family, and that it is known for the Hatsuumasai festival, in which horses with bells dance in a procession led by a sacred horse.

The Agency for Cultural Affairs records the main hall and worship hall as an Important Cultural Property of the late Edo period.
