Egara Tenjinsha Shrine
荏柄天神社 · Shinto shrine
The Kamakura City Tourist Association records that Egara Tenjinsha Shrine is counted, with shrines in Fukuoka and Kyoto, among Japan's three great Tenjin shrines, and that Minamoto no Yoritomo designated it as a tutelary shrine protecting his office and residence on the north-east side of the city.
The national cultural property register lists the shrine's main hall, the honden, as an Important Cultural Property. Admission is by donation rather than a set charge.

- Take the bus bound for Daitomiya from bus stop 5 at the east exit of JR Kamakura Station and get off at Tenjinmae — 3 minutes on foot
