Chikurin-ji Temple

竹林寺 · Buddhist temple

Kochi's visitors and convention association records that the temple is thought to have been established in 724, that it is the 31st stop on the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, and that its main figure of worship is Monju Bosatsu, the bodhisattva of wisdom.

The Agency for Cultural Affairs records the temple's main hall as an Important Cultural Property of the late Muromachi period.
