Ise Jingu

The shrine's own English site records that Ise Jingu, officially Jingu, includes 125 shrines centred on Kotaijingu (Naiku), dedicated to Amaterasu-Omikami, and Toyo'uke-daijingu (Geku), dedicated to Toyo'uke-no-Omikami.
It records that more than 1,500 rituals are held here each year, and that Amaterasu-Omikami is said to have been enshrined at Ise about 2,000 years ago.

Worth knowing
