Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine

川越氷川神社 · Shinto shrine

Saitama Prefecture's tourism association records that the shrine's history is said to go back to the reign of Emperor Kinmei in the 6th century, and that it is familiarly called Ohikawa-sama.

It also records that the shrine was revered as the sōja, a shrine enshrining several deities, of the area after Ōta Dōkan built a castle there.
