Shizuoka Sengen Shrine

Shizuoka City's tourism bureau records that Shizuoka Sengen Shrine is the collective name for three shrines — the Kambe Shrine, the Sengen Shrine and the Ohtoshimioya Shrine — and that twenty-six of its buildings are designated an Important Cultural Property. It records that the shrine received the veneration of the Tokugawa in the Edo era.
The bureau records that the shrine is also known as the place where Tokugawa Ieyasu is said to have held his coming-of-age ceremony, and that visiting all seven of the shrines within the grounds is called the Seven Shrine Pilgrimage.
