Erinji Temple
乾徳山 恵林寺 · Buddhist temple
Yamanashi Tourism Organization records that Erinji was founded in 1330 and is the family temple of Takeda Shingen, and that its landscape garden is believed to have been designed by the temple's founder, the Zen priest and gardener Muso Soseki. It records that a monument marking Takeda Shingen's grave stands beside the garden.
The temple gives its full name as Kentokusan Erinji of the Myoshinji branch of the Rinzai school. It charges separately for the temple and for the Shingen treasure hall, and states that the treasure hall closes on Thursdays from December to March. The Agency for Cultural Affairs records the temple's four-legged gate as an Important Cultural Property of the Momoyama period.

Getting there
- JR Enzan Station, south exit — take the bus for Nishizawa Keikoku and get off at Erinji-mae
- JR Enzan Station — about 20 minutes by taxi, which the temple gives as 1,500 yen
